Flex* is a talking and listening game in which talks are forced to move between the players, through which the meaning of a word is flexed and stretched, based on personal knowledge, experience, feelings, and values.
The game sets up a situation that engenders spontaneous connections of ideas, experiences and energies. It was first presented at Load na Dito’s studio in Quezon City (October 2019) .
- Sit in a circle and place an empty bottle in the center.
2. Spin the bottle to pick the first player.
3. The first player picks a Flex* card from the deck and talks freely in response to the word written on the card. (Max. 3 minutes)
4. Spin the bottle again to decide the next player.
5. The next player picks a word from the previous player’s story and talks freely in response to the word. (Max 3 minutes)
6. Repeat no.4 and 5 for 5 times to complete one round.
7. Begin a new round by repeating no.2 to 5. The players may collectively decide when to finish.
