Karen Zalamea is a visual artist based in Vancouver, Canada. She holds an MFA from Concordia University. Her practice is informed by her interests in materially-driven photography experiments, and in the possibilities of encountering place through image-making. Zalamea’s work has been presented across Canada and internationally in solo and group exhibitions and as public art projects. Her residency is supported by Canada Arts Council.
